Red Metal Mining (RMM) is a multi-disciplined project engineering company specializing in the design, manufacture, and supply of electrical solutions for the mining, solar, industrial, and infrastructure sectors across sub-Saharan Africa. Our core expertise lies in the design and manufacture of cast resin dry-type transformers, oil-filled transformers, and compact mini substations engineered for harsh African operating environments. RMM’s underground cast resin mini substations are specifically designed to fit within man winder cages while remaining equally suitable for surface applications, offering clients a practical, space-efficient, and safety-focused solution.
Safety, durability, and operational efficiency remain central to our engineering philosophy. To ensure long-term performance and environmental protection, RMM offers a range of transformer enclosures from IP21 to IP54, including custom-engineered cooling and protection systems tailored to client and site-specific requirements.
All projects are designed in-house using advanced engineering platforms including SolidWorks 3D for mechanical design and E-PLAN for electrical design. Each project is managed by a dedicated Project Manager who serves as a single point of contact, ensuring streamlined communication, technical support, and efficient project execution from concept through to delivery.
