Installing a substation in a permanent location will naturally have cost and planning impacts to consider. But when a substation won’t be used in one specific place permanently, a less expensive and more practical solution is available. On this particular mine, power supply is only needed for a short period of time in an area of operation, before it’s moved to the next.

THE SOLUTION

 
We were able to supply a cast resin mobile mini substation solution to one of the largest South African-based diversified resource groups. The mobile substation can now be easily relocated when and where it is needed on the mine, all at a lower installation cost.
